About Us

Formech International Limited has been manufacturing vacuum forming equipment in the UK since 1982. Our machines were initially created for the design industry, but continual research and development means we now offer machines for a comprehensive range of requirements and applications. Formech machines are recognised throughout the world for their high quality and versatility with manual, semi and fully automatic models available. With over 25 years experience in the plastics industry Formech have developed brand leadership in a number of key sectors including industrial prototyping, healthcare and education. The Formech organisation has formed strategic alliances with other plastics related companies such as Stratasys (rapid-prototyping), Autotype (In Mould Decoration) and Stephen Webster Plastics (material supplies).

Our Location

Formech's Head Office is located in Harpenden, UK. We are easy to reach being just 25 miles from Heathrow airport. Full demonstration facilities are located near to the Head Office site and customers are encouraged to visit and familiarise themselves with all aspects of the vacuum and post forming process. Our manufacturing and assembly facility is based near Shaftesbury in Dorset.

Geographic Overview

Formech has an extensive network of agencies selling machines and products in over 42 countries around the world. Our customers, who range from the small model maker to large blue chip companies, are therefore assured of a high level of sales and technical support in their own language. Formech opened offices in New York in 1987 extending our activities to cover the Western Hemisphere with Canada and South America now covered by our US division.
